Entry and judging process
The reputation and legitimacy of the HSJ Value rests upon our rigorous and fair judging process. HSJ works with professionals across the sector to design relevant and easy to understand categories and criteria.
The categories and criteria are updated each year to reflect current initiatives and the progress NHS teams are making delivering value and care.
HSJ recruit judges from a range of disciplines and backgrounds to reflect the workforce of the NHS across the UK. Judging takes place across 2 stages
Stage 1: Judges review all entries remotely online scoring against 5 criteria; ambition, outcomes, spread, value and involvement. Finalists are chosen based on the scores received.
Stage 2: Finalists are invited to present their projects and initiatives to our panels in person where the judges will decide on winners. Winners are announced at the awards ceremony in May.
