Rapid Diagnostic Centre : Northern Care Alliance Group in collaboration with Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance

The NCA RDC is a new transformative 'Two Week Wait' cancer diagnostic service. It aims to provide patients with a suspected cancer with all the required investigations in a rapid co-ordinated pathway. With key worker support from the moment of referral, minimisation of hospital visits, and early, rapid progression to a yes/no cancer diagnosis, the RDC aims to transform the front end of cancer diagnostics. The NCA RDC serves a population of around 1million. We are a nurse led team, overseen by secondary & primary care clinical leads, with excellent engagement from radiology colleagues, tumour group representatives, & our cancer alliance team.
