Royal Surrey Robotic Surgery : Royal Surrey FT

This entry is to highlight the excellent work carried out at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, a Centre of Excellence for laparoscopic surgery. The Department of Urology provides a service to the local community from Basingstoke to Worthing as part of the Surrey and Sussex cancer alliance. The Department is internationally renowned in the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer, specialising in robotic surgery. Royal Surrey has three da Vinci robots for these cancer surgeries and one for training - the most on any single site of an NHS Trust. Innovation enabled these live-saving operations to continue in throughout the pandemic.
