Holistic wellbeing calls for cancer patients : South Tees Hospitals FT

At the outset of the pandemic we set up a brand new telephone service in order to proactively call cancer patients to check their wellbeing, offer holistic therapy, provide local information and support, refer to appropriate services or simply provide a listening ear and reduce isolation. The Trinity Holistic team, along with support from the Macmillan Information team (the Information and Support Centre's) at South Tees offered the service to approx. 6000 cancer patients/carers/families registered with the centre's. It was also made available to the wider North East population which includes some of the most deprived wards in the country.
