Living well at home with dementia using AI : South Warwickshire FT

At the start of the Covid pandemic in March 2020, SWFT chose to transform our community dementia service with MySense technology. We wanted a way to monitor vulnerable individuals with dementia living in the community, detect early signs of deterioration and prevent them from being admitted to hospital. We were particularly concerned about frail and vulnerable individuals with co-morbidities who would be at high risk of contracting the disease in hospital and are safer and happier in their own homes. Keeping these individuals out of hospital would also free up capacity of hospital wards during a time of immense strain.
