MSK Virtual Consultations in response to Covid-19 : Whittington Health Trust - Musculoskeletal Services

During the first surge of Covid, all non-essential Musculoskeletal Services appointments were cancelled to allow our staff to be redeployed to support other services. Upon returning, there were approximately 10,000 patients awaiting an appointment. Our team’s fast-paced digital transformation, not only introducing video appointments at pace and but empowering patients to use and engage with them, has allowed us to continue to deliver quality care to our local population and to successfully address the entire 10,000 patient backlog by October.
