Birmingham and Solihull Partnership – Trainee Nursing Associate Programme – Expert by Experience Connector project : Birmingham and Solihull Partnership TNA Programme: Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health FT, University Hospitals Birmingham FT, The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital FT, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s FT, Birmingham Community Healthcare FT

The Expert by Experience Connector project enables Trainee Nursing Associates (TNAs) to develop their understanding of person centred care. Expert by Experience Connectors (EBECs) are people who have experience of accessing services from one or more of the four fields of nursing as a patient or carer. Each TNA is matched with an EBEC and they have one to one meetings every 3 months during their 2 year programme. The project has been piloted for the last year and due to its success has now being rolled out into all future TNA cohorts, within the Birmingham and Solihull partnership.
