London Ambulance Service Mental Health Joint Response Car : London Ambulance Service Trust

The Mental Health Joint Response Car pilot sees a paramedic and mental health nurse crewed together with the aim of providing on scene assessment and treatment for both the patient's mental and physical needs, in order to avoid unnecessary ED admissions. It involves our mental health team, London Mental Health Trusts, Healthy London Partnerships and many other stakeholders - including patients - who were a crucial part of developing and evaluating the pilot. This pilot aims to serve patients going through a mental health crisis, by delivering the most appropriate care first time.
