PFI Market Testing and Benchmarking – Success through Collaboration : Summerhill Services

Summerhill Services Limited (SSL) (subsidiary of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust) successfully completed the fourth Market Testing and Benchmarking of Soft FM Services under the Trust’s PFI Project with Project Company (Healthcare Support Erdington Limited) and FM Provider (Amey) for 1st April 2020 – 31st March 2025.

Results!

• Enhancements to Service Specifications!
• Retaining high Performance Standards (e.g. Domestic Service that has achieved 100% PLACE Cleanliness Scores in 2017, 2018 and 2019)!
• Enhancements to Catering Service and 2.3% cost reduction!
• Ground Breaking Joint PFI/Trust/SSL Market Testing increased scale economies, cost savings and single supplier solutions!
