Geographical Host Policy : Coventry, Rugby and Warwickshire North CCGs

Care is not always available as close to a patient’s home as patients, families, carers and commissioners would desire, and specialised care facilities often host patients from all over the country. The Geographical Host Policy was developed in response to the closure of an independent provider in the CRWNCCGs geographical patch, and incorporated the learning from the actions undertaken during that closure in partnership with CRWNCCG Ofsted and CQC to ensure patient safety. Every patient was placed with an appropriate package of care sourced suitable for their needs.
