Hepatitis C testing and treatment pathway in an Immigration Removal Centre : Nottinghamshire Healthcare FT, United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust and Nottingham University Hospitals Trust

Immigration Removal Centres (IRC) are a short-term holding facility with a rapid turnover. Residents may be released from detention to return to their communities or removed from the UK. IRC Morton Hall has a capacity of 392 adult males with healthcare provided by Nottingham shire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHNFT) .

Increase in BBV testing introduced as part of Quality Improvement project for NHNFT - Offender Health Directorate, to support performance for section 7A indicators. Aim of the project was to increase BBV testing to above 75% by end March 2019 and to ultimately achieve the micro-elimination of Hep C.
