COVID Virtual Clinic : East and North Hertfordshire Trust

The COVID-19 Virtual Clinic, led by a team of respiratory physicians and nurse specialists, was designed to ensure patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19, or had symptoms suggestive of COVID-19, were followed up in the community once they had been reviewed in the emergency department (ED) or discharged from the wards. This was to ensure patients were getting adequate support at home and furthermore, to identify patients at high risk of deteriorating so that they could be admitted to the hospital early in a safe and controlled manner and initiate prompt treatment.
