North Tyneside CCG partnership with Livi : North Tyneside CCG

Increasing demand on GP services meant that the CCG had to create more capacity to improve the patient experience. Patient feedback was that they found it difficult to access a GP appointment when they needed it. We commissioned Livi to provide those additional appointments across all of our Primary Care Networks, the first of its type to provide a population solution rather than a practice level solution. By commissioning on a CCG level, covering all PCNa, we would be able to scale up and down our primary care offer across a number of different channels and providers as demand changed.
