Physician Response Unit: Taking Emergency Medicine into the Community : Barts Health Trust, London's Air Ambulance Charity, London Ambulance Service Trust

The Physician Response Unit (PRU) is an innovative Community Emergency Medicine service that is delivered in partnership by Barts Health NHS Trust, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance Charity. The service 'takes the Emergency Department to the patient' in the form of a rapid response emergency vehicle, responding to emergency '999' calls, staffed by a senior Emergency Physician and an ambulance service clinician.
