Virtual Reality Pulmonary Rehabilitation programme : North Lincolnshire CCG

Lung patients in North Lincolnshire were the first in the UK to benefit from a pioneering virtual reality pulmonary rehabilitation programme. GP practices are now able to offer Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder patients a virtual reality headset, wearable sensor and mobile data hotspot so they can partake in crucial pulmonary rehab exercises from the comfort of their own home. All face-to-face pulmonary rehab programmes had to be suspended during the Covid-19 lockdown but patients here were able to continue their recovery because of this lifeline. This has now been rolled out to help hundreds of patients across North Lincolnshire.
