start your entryThe delivery of musculoskeletal services to patients is changing with the impact of the Elective Care Transformation Programme. Reducing attendance in hospital and therefore the capacity and financial burdens which are created with unnecessary visits is the goal. Where and when people receive care has changed the experience they have, and this has had positive knock on effects for GPs, physiotherapists and secondary care.
Prevention initiatives working across organisational boundaries especially in terms of population health and working with primary and community environments. Combined these new approaches are adding value to the service, reducing attendance and saving money.
This award will recognise NHS and public sector organisations and local care economies that are making progress on MSK care and prevention. Our judges will be looking for teams who can prove that a change in approach has significantly bolstered the quality of care, and so improved financial value and patient experience. Judges will also be looking for integrated initiatives of prevention and treatment.
Eligibility
Entrants for this award will be any organisation from the NHS, general practice, community and primary care as well as other public sector bodies making things better.
